What's Up Internets?

This is totally random. I got nuttin' honey.

------------------------------------

New poll to the right.

------------------------------------

I got a hint this morning of what June's dead animal of the month may be. Quite possibly foxes. Not sure yet. I'll let you know towards the end of the month.

------------------------------------

I think Bobby Darin did "Mack the Knife" better than Frank Sinatra. Yes, I know, it's a toss up because Frank is such a legend, but so is Bobby in his own right.

------------------------------------

Is it possible to sleep too much? Cause I may have this weekend. Or maybe not since I'm feeling so refreshed.

------------------------------------

How did I ever live without an iPod?

------------------------------------

I think I have a mouse. And not as a pet. But if I catch him alive (as opposed to dead in a mousetrap), I just might make him/her a pet.

------------------------------------

J.D. is doing much better. I secretly think he's milking his illness for all he can, though. Little booger is perfectly capable of getting up and down off the bed, but his mama won't let him. And I think he enjoys that.

-----------------------------------

Is it too terribly 90's of me that I'm excited to see NKOTB back? (for those of you too young or who were into Alice in Chains or alternative music in the 90's I'm referring to New Kids on the Block). I would totally buy tickets to see them in concert if they were coming to a venue near me since I never got to see them in concert back in the 90's. Man, I loved me some Joey.

-----------------------------------

I totally had a blog post written up in my head last night but between, oh, about midnight and this morning, I've totally forgotten it. Including the subject. Just disappeared. Probably the same place where my socks go when they hit the dryer.

-----------------------------------

I made about $10 at the festival this weekend. It cost me $25 for the booth. However, I got a lead on a paying gig to photograph a birthday party and a volunteer gig for Relay for Life to take their pics. The good thing about the Relay for Life thing is that there will literally be hundreds of people there and I'm allowed to pass out my business card and try to sell myself as a photographer. We'll see how that goes. Plus, the guy that might hire me for a birthday party is kind of a big wig in the town, so if he's pleased, he can spread my name around.

-----------------------------------

I just discovered Sheryl Crow's "Ordinary Morning". Beautiful, just beautiful.

-----------------------------------

I can't decide if my favorite soundtrack is "Chicago", "Hoot", "Grosse Pointe Blank" or "Grease 1 & 2".

-----------------------------------

I love the sound of my daughter's sweet (albeit off-tune) voice singing "All That Jazz" from "Chicago".

-----------------------------------

That's it for now.

May's Dead Animal of the Month Is...

...the turtle.

They're everywhere!

Every time I see a shell in the road, I want to stop and check to see if he's still alive.

Because if he is, I shall take him home, give him some lettuce and call him Fred.

April's Dead Animal For The Month Was...

...armadillos.

I swear, we have more than Texas, it seems.

At least more dead ones.

Well, probably not, but it seems like it.

Wonder what this month will be?

Dead Raccoons

I declare this Dead Raccoon Month. Seeing as how I've seen nothing less than 20 dead raccoons on the road since the beginning of the month. Not that I'm keeping count.

This morning's was totally the worse though. It was hit in one spot and crawled/was drug to another. You know how I know?

The 8 foot long stretched out intestine that was in one place and ended up 8 feet away with the rest of the body.

And the 15 foot smear of blood on the road.

He must of put up a hell of a fight against the car.

It was so gross. Bleh.

March was Dead Armadillo Month. They're not quite as messy.

See the things you learn living out in the country?
