This is our mailbox.
Here's light of my life in her hastily acquired attire. She just grabbed whatever so she could go outside and play!
Snow tires!!!! Hahahahahahahaha!!!! I crack myself up!
This is our neighbor's dog, Foxy. It seems that she's at our house as much as she's at her owner's place. We love Foxy. She's so sweet and is clearly enjoying the snow.
This is when it was starting to snow.
Light of my life trying to catch a snowflake on her tongue.
I took my cat Mike outside to see the snow. Here's his pawprints. He didn't like it much. It was no use taking J.D. since he doesn't have eyes.
This was some accumulated snow on the handrail at the porch. This was on the night it started snowing and this was taken about midnight.
Here's the next morning. Not much accumulation, but more than I've seen in a few years.
It actually stuck!!!!
It started snowing at the house around 6 pm and light of my life got to see snow for the first time!!! She was thrilled. As soon as my neighbors get back from the campgrounds, I'll post some pics. I have to use their computer to upload pics!
I didn't think it would stuck but it continued to snow off and on overnight so we had a VERY light blanket of snow covering the ground on Saturday morning. I had set my alarm for 6 am just in case it stuck. When I looked outside and saw the snow on the ground, I went in to light of my life's room and asked her if she wanted to play in the snow with me. I've never seen someone jump out of bed and get dressed as fast as that kid.
We had so much fun. We made really crappy snow balls, ate snow, played with the neighbors dog who was going crazy with all the excitement of the snow. So freakin' cool.
It was all melted by 11 am.
Oh, well. At least she got to see some snow!

It's totally snowing right now!!!!!
I live in the deep south and it rarely, if ever, snows here. I haven't seen snow since I went to visit Tracey up in RI. Light of my life has never seen it. I hope it's snowing at the house.
I'm going around with a big friggin' smile on my face. Nobody else seems excited by this.
How come adults don't get excited about this kind of stuff anymore? I'm not talking about Yankees since they have a legitimate reason to hate snow. But I'm talking about when something like this happens that's rare.
I totally feel like a little kid right now. I want it to stick so I can make snow cream and make a snow angel and a snow man and have a snowball fight. I've only done that twice in my life. Once when I was a kid and it unexpectedly snowed enough to coat the yard with about a foot of snow and another time when I was on a school trip to New York.
Man, this is soooooo cool.
