Of Dingleberries and Barbie Cakes

Instead of a randomly written post, I present to you...a randomly photographed post. These are just a few shots I've recently updated.

This is my empty coffee cup from La Madeleine's at the Riverbend in NOLA. Believe you me, this is a totally empty cup. I love this coffee so much, after I was done with this cup, I got one to go. I love their French Roast Coffee.

I know this is a fig. I have them all over the tree outside of light of my life's room...however, I think it looks like a dingleberry.

Isn't my model AWESOME?!?!?!? Did I get the '50's housewife look just right (sans apron)?

These are the latest creations that I will be offering for sale on my etsy shop...no, not '50's throwback housewife Barbies...the cakes!

I'll do a post on those once I have them up on the shop.

Have a good weekend y'all!

Lori

Ooooh, I want one of those cakes! Seriously. That is too cute.

Now here's a dumb question I've been wanting to ask but haven't... what's an etsy?

Rhea

Wow, that's a real cake? It's tiny.

Figs as dingleberries, that's pretty funny.

Love the Barbie's outfit.

Glad you enjoyed your coffee in NOLA.

Mama Dawg

Lori-Thanks! I love the little cakes. Etsy is a shop where people who make crafts can sell their goods. It's kind of like ebay except instead of bidding on items, you just buy them direct from the seller. Also, it's crafts as opposed to junk people find in their house to sell. It's a way of getting back to hand crafted homemade goods. I have an etsy shop where I sell my beaded sunglasses cords and some jewelry. The cakes are going to be my newest offering.

Rhea-Nope, it's not a real cake. It's made of recycled goods, craft glue and beads. Kinda cool, huh? And yes, I enjoyed my coffee very much. Thanks!

Dirty White boy

lol, very neat.

figs=gross.

Lula!

I want to drink coffee with you in NOLA. Or anywhere, for that matter, but my roots are firmly planted in Metarie, so I wanna go to NO desperately. Sigh...

Momo Fali

The dingleberry? Cracked me the heck up.

Keys to the Magic Travel

I really want fruit trees in my yard. I need to talk to a nursery to see what will work here. And if I need pairs.

Love your randomness! :-)

Mommy Mo

OK, I LOL'd at your dingleberry comment.

Dingle bell, dingle bells, dingle all the way

Oh what fun it is to ride in a one horse open sleigh - HEY!

I'm so stupid sometimes.

Weith Kick

Those aren't figs! You photoshopped something in there. Either way, that picture sorta made me want to throw up a little.

The photos are nice and the cake looks great too. I'll have to hop on over to your Etsy site.

I'm late in thanking you for taking the time to stop by my blog when I was featured on SITS. I appreciate the time you took and look forward to visiting again!

Mama Dawg

Whew...I'm trying to catch up on comments!

DWB-What on earth do you eat? You don't eat a lot considering you're a vegetarian and have cut out like 30% of digestible foods.

Lula-Awww....if you ever get to Metairie again, I'm only 5 hours away and I have friends in Kenner and New Orleans and Metairie!

Momo Fali-yeah, but seriously, that's what it looks like!

Kat-I have plums and figs plus blackberry bushes.

Lisa-Oh, don't put that in my head. Come Christmas time, I might start singing that instead! Imagine the looks!

Weith-LOL! I don't have photoshop...so that theory's blown!

Angie-Thanks! Please, feel free to browse the shop. You can even buy something if you'd like! LOL!

You're welcome!
